Please read this section and follow the directions to change Wallpaper on this phone. There are some steps you must do on your phone BEFORE you can use BitPim to change Wallpaper.
There are three "wallpapers" that can be customized on this phone using BitPim; wallpaper, poweron and poweroff. BEFORE you can change these wallpapers you must perform the following steps on your phone for each type of wallpaper you want BitPim to customize:

Select any item from this list (will be replaced later by BitPim)

Repeat the steps above for each of the Wallpaper types (wallpaper, poweron and poweroff) that you want to customize using BitPim. You only need to do this ONCE for each wallpaper type. From this point forward you can use BitPim as many times as you want to change the wallpapers.
NOTE: The LG-VX3200 uses a proprietary image format for the wallpapers. Fortunately BitPim takes care of converting to/from this proprietary format.
First, follow the steps in section "Changing the Wallpaper" above to create a wallpaper entry if you have not already done this on your phone.
Start BitPim and verify that your phone has a wallpaper entry by doing Data -> Get Phone Data -> Wallpaper.
On the Wallpaper tab in BitPim use the "Add" button to import your custom wallpaper, "myimage.bmp".
Right-click on the phone wallpaper icon and Delete it.
Right-click on your custom wallpaper icon and Rename it to "wallpaper.bmp".
Now send your custom wallpaper to the phone by doing Data -> Send Phone Data -> Wallpaper.
Phone A:
Start BitPim and grab the custom wallpaper from phone A by doing Data -> Get Phone Data -> Wallpaper.
On the Wallpaper tab in BitPim right-click on the phone wallpaper icon and Save it to a file named "customwp.bit".
Phone B:
First, follow the steps in section "Changing the Wallpaper" above to create a wallpaper entry if you have not already done this on phone B.
Start BitPim and verify that your phone has a wallpaper entry by doing Data -> Get Phone Data -> Wallpaper.
On the Wallpaper tab in BitPim use the "Add" button to import
the wallpaper you are copying, "customwp.bit".
Note: the custom wallpaper will be converted to BMP format
when it is imported.
Right-click on the phone wallpaper icon and Delete it.
Right-click on your custom wallpaper icon and Rename it to "wallpaper.bmp".
Now send your custom wallpaper to the phone by doing Data -> Send Phone Data -> Wallpaper.
Start BitPim. (You do not need your phone attached to BitPim for this operation.)
On the Wallpaper tab in BitPim use the "Add" button to import
the wallpaper you are converting, "customwp.bit".
Note: the custom wallpaper will be converted to BMP format
when it is imported.
Right-click on this image icon and Save as "customwp.bmp".
Once you have used BitPim to download custom ringtones (either .mid or .mp3 files) then they are available on your phone to be associated with ringers. Here are the steps on your phone to assign to one of your main ringers:
select Menu
6-Settings
1-Sounds
1-Ringers
1-Caller ID (or 2-No Caller ID, or 3-Restrict)
select your ringtone from this list
Note that you can also associate your custom ringers with people in your Contacts.
