BitPim support for this model was developed and tested with a Susteen straight USB data cable. To the OS, the data cable appears as 2 ports: a modem port and a diag port. You MUST use/set the modem port with the SPH-M300PIM model, and the diag port with the SPH-M300MEDIA model.
